BENTON HARBOR, Mich. – United Federal Credit Union donated $730 to the Logan Center as a result of its “You Color, U Donate” contest. For each page entered, United donated $1 to Logan Center. A total of 730 coloring sheets were submitted by credit union employees, members and the community.

“It’s truly inspiring to see not only the community participation in the “You Color, U Donate” awareness campaign, but also the participation of so many children who were happy to submit coloring sheets to help out a great cause,” said St. Joseph branch manager Jodie Kitchell. “It’s a small way for all of us to show our continued commitment to the Logan Center and its mission to help raise awareness about autism right here in Berrien County.”

As part of the contest, United also awarded a $500 Youth Savings Deposit to one of the children who submitted a coloring sheet.

In October 2017, United agreed to a capital donation of $30,000 over three years to help Logan Center’s self-sustaining operations at its Benton Harbor facility. Room 4 of the facility was also dedicated to United.

The Logan Center supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they, and their families, may achieve their desired quality of life. Their services allow children to transition from special needs classrooms to mainstream general education classrooms.
